Scared that they will force me to stay on meds

I would take the shot and no one would know unless I told them

Idk, I think they push injections because they don’t trust you to take your meds every day.
it would be nice for all of us if the pdoc’s would treat the person too, and not just what the common history is of schizophrenia.

I asked for the shot. Personally it’s easier. I do have to pick up the med and go get it done, but that’s better than forgetting my meds or having a roller coaster of symptoms because of fluctuations in the amount in my blood.

They could make the box a little nondescript or call it Dr. McGullicuddy’s Old Timey Brain Medicine. I’m not 16 years old anymore but I can remember what its like. I wouldn’t want my friends to know there is something ‘wrong’ with me. But at the same time if there is I wouldn’t want them to find out by witnessing a psychotic episode. I can almost guarantee you’ll end up with more friends on the medication than without it.

I’ve discovered it’s best not to push pdocs really hard when asking for a med change. Be assertive, not confrontational.

I’m 16 yes so i find this little bad myself too but will stay on the meds bc its what the doc wants

I mostly stay in my room here in the foster home so if I was psychotic nobody would find out
