I really like taco bell. I worked there for awhile when I was in college. It’s always good to hear from you. I just ate left overs at my mom’s house. Her leftovers sure beats the food I have at the apartment. That’s unfortunate about the coat. Good thing you were able to return it. I’ve had a few strange days but mostly been well.
I got 4 12 packs of Sprite Zero for $10 on sale last week at Target. Last week it was Coke products.
I hope it was Kraft macaroni and cheese that’s my favorite.
I’m glad to learn that VR headsets are safe for the eyes (they’re the equivalent of looking at a monitor from 1.3 to 2 meters away,) which paired with eye-tracking mouse technology means that I can re-engage with competitive FPS games at some point (I can’t use a handheld mouse for too long, my elbows are fried.) That’s good news for my inner child, but my mature self is going “nooooo, you remember what happened last time…”
Game addiction is a sum’■■■■■. I need a good work life balance.
went to my nephews games again. was ok, they both scored. younger one made a 3 pointer.
I sat by my sister and she asked me if I would be upset if we didn’t have turkey on thanksgiving. I told her I didn’t care but that I liked fish, she’s going to make brisket instead. should be interesting to see if I run into my old flame this thanksgiving. she was there last year but I skipped.
Sorry @GoldenRex
I hope things start turning around for you soon
Well I think I should start getting ready for bed. It is 8:30pm and i am exhausted. I did nothing today and i am feeling guilty but I can’t really do anything about it
Thank you It’s always good to hear from you as well.
Yeah I have a leftover burrito from Taco bell. It’s the only thing I have left to eat. So I’ll probably save it for midnight haha.
Happy to hear you’ve been mostly well.
I am okay so far. I can’t ever shake the delusion though that some dangerous people are out to get me.
I have that delusion as well. It has to do with a murder I witnessed in my hometown. I don’t think I’ll go back there.
Whoa! Scary stuff, indeed.
Please stay safe, Thai.
In reality though, I doubt anyone wants to hurt you.
I met a 95 year old World War 2 veteran in Walgreens today. I wished him a happy Veterans Day. He fought in Korea too. He was even still driving. When he told me how old he was I couldn’t believe it.
I told him I was in the Iraq War in 2005 and 2007. He thanked me too. It was a good Veterans Day.
We are losing an important generation. There aren’t many of these guys (and gals) left. It was an honor to shake his hand.
I will. I always worry someone might try to kill me for being a witness when I’m in my hometown. Over here I feel safer. Nobody really knows me here.
My mother in law is back home from the ER.
This fall has hindered the healing process, but not caused any new injuries.
I feel like I’m losing my brain,
I can’t take much more of this mother in law drama.
I had a pretty good day.
Well, I had a good night of teaching, anyway. We started my favorite chapter, the anatomy and physiology chapter, human biology.
I did a little storytelling, something I’ve gotten away from in recent years. Stories about the cadaver dissection in med school, my dad and his uncontrolled type 2 diabetes, as well as what happens when varicose veins in the esophagus (due to cirrhosis) burst. I told them how household dust is primarily dead skin cells, so when you dust your home you’re actually wiping up your family’s skin. Yeah, got some good laughs from my students tonight, that was cool.
I’m sorry you’re going through all of this, @GoldenRex. I’m here for you if you want to talk.
Thanks man,
I appreciate it.
I’ve been a real Debbie Downer on here the past couple weeks.
I’m sure I’ll feel better soon,
Right now is just so hard,
Taking care of my mother in law has been such a difficult and all consuming task.
I hope she heals quickly and doesn’t have anymore set backs,
I need her to, waiting on her hand and foot has been just too much.
Things will get easier,
They have to.
@GoldenRex I’m sorry you’re having to deal with so much lately. It’s sounds really stressful.
Stretched my elbows funny and now my left one is in a state of parma-pain that doesn’t go away in any position. Fun sleep that was.
My elbows are pretty messed up due to arthritis, this pain is just icing now.
Popped a Tylenol 3. Going to waste time watching game streams till the pain goes down. Can’t concentrate on work.
