Good luck! I hope it works out good for you. Any interviews yet? If so, what are you saying about your lapses in employment? Hopefully they stop not considering you because of your periods of unemployment

@LilyoftheValley thats been a big thorn in my side for a while. Having had so many brief jobs with like zero references on my resume lol. Due to the cycle of me disappearing into the night during a shift without saying a word haha. Bad habit of mine. But mental illness ya know.

Good luck!!! I’m on 300mg of seroquel/quetiapine. Taking it at the same time each night helps with sleep and not being too sleepy all day.

I hope that seroquel works for ya and good luck with the interviews. Pertaining to the gaps you could always say you were taking care of a sick relative or something.

When I worked at Walmart, some co-workers wondered that I “disappear.” In retrospect, I don’t think they meant physically. They meant mentally not being all there. Lack of thought/speech. Spacing out. But, because they made it so competitive, that helped lead to permanent disability income. They can poke at my weaknesses, but who knows how those bullies are doing.

Social Security actually defines being disabled as not being able to make a certain amount per month and given jobs are competitive. Something like that.

Oh! I forgot to add: Seroquel has brought my positives down so much that I feel like a different person. I had been resigned to being on saphris because it helped my paranoia. I can’t even recall the numerous meds my previous pdoc shoved down my throat. But Seroquel is going great. I hope you have the luck I’ve had with it.

@LilyoftheValley and @Jonathan2, I am saying I had to take care of a family member for job I get interviewed for which is true because my mom was in hospice about the same time as I left employment.

That’s a great reason, and I hope you have good luck. Please update us if you remember.

I always say I left to focus on my kids (SAHM), but my youngest will be 18 in two years, so I won’t be able to use it for long…
