Sad books...I love them

Saddest book I ever read was “sophie’s choice” I forget the author…about a woman who the Nazi’s made her choose which child she could keep after math living afterwards…sad sad…

“ol’ yeller” is another…“where the red fern grows”…all animal pet loss books…too sad to read.

“cujo” surprisingly by stephen king was a tremendously sad book…

saddest book ive ever read was “tuesdays with maurry” really sad story about a guy with ALS… its a neurodegenerative disease i think where the body wastes away over time.

edit: google says ALS is:
ALS is a fatal motor neuron disease. It is characterized by progressive degeneration of nerve cells in the spinal cord and brain.

Its hard for me to follow a book unless it just pulls me in, one book was Shantaram Shantaram (novel) - Wikipedia the other Jane Eyre I read a couple times. Steven King’s “Bag of Bones” about a haunting; I generally choose the less widely known but next best sellers when I find a new favorite book.

I have a difficulty reading horror books lately. I read Snow Garden by Anne Rice’s son Christopher Rice. I read some of the vampire books. I read the bell jar. Really trying to start reading more because I feel like its better for my mental health than audible and videos to take a break from technology.

Kite Runner was another book, Time Travelers Wife, Surfacing and Handmaids tale all sad books

I don’t read sad books.

My mother in law highly recommended “The Lovely Bones” and gave me a copy.

I read it fast.

Hated it.

Nothing but sad.

I enjoy good stories that have sad parts,

Not just depression.

If I want that I’ll just watch some Lars Von Trier.

I find that my moods are heavily affected by what I expose myself to- music, literature, television, etc. Consequently, I try to really watch what I let myself see and hear.
