vraylar mechanism is the same as abilify though? clozapine won’t fix all your problems magically, its a last resort ap for a reason.

Idk she said Clozapine is the AP that blocks the lowest amount of dopamine. She said my risperidone blocks too much dopamine, similar to the high potency typical APs.
I had completely different side-effects from ability than from vraylar. On vraylar I tend to be a bit irritable (only side- effect). On abilify I couldn’t sit still for a second. It was crazy!

that’s true but it blocks a lot of serotonin to make up for it though. maybe it will fix your negative symptoms but if you are 300+ lb on risperidone you are just risking heart disease or other obesity related illness going onto clozapine lol

Yea the Dr said I will gain more weight on Clozapine than on my risperidone. I don’t think I will try it as I also don’t want to do weekly blood tests.
There are plenty more side effects
