I think it will take time to see the dose reduction benefits. Just be patient

But back when I was on 3mg for over a year I still felt lile ■■■■ like now and like on 6mg.

Risperidone is too powerful.

Well you might notice a difference because you have been on 6mg for quite a while now

Only Abilify made a difference. My negative symptoms are severe, need much more dopamine.

I found this online, jumping from 4 to 6mg risperidone only increased d2 receptor occupacy by 6%.

The mean level of receptor occupancy was 66% at 2 mg ; 73% at 4 mg; and 79% at 6 mg. … Our results suggest that at doses of 4-6 mg the in vivo D2 receptor occupancy of risperidone is similar to that of typical neuroleptics and higher than that of clozapine.

Ask your pdoc if you can get on Geodon, and maybe Seroquel. Some people have trouble with Seroquel, but it always worked well for me, with very few side effects. A lot of people, including me, really like Geodon.

I didn’t last on risperidone for even a week. Immediate choking.

@Aziz, can you take both Abilify and Risperdal?

I had side effects on Abilify. My Dr told me its best to not use it. He wants me to try Clozapine or Vraylar.
