I have been on about 7 meds over the last 9 years. I just got off of Lithium and Zyprexa where I gained 40 pounds in 2 months. I am back on Risperdal and Trileptal. I am actually headed to the pharmacy in about an hour to get the Trileptal. I am hoping the this combo will get some weight off me and help me sleep. What do you think? Anybody on this combo? I have insomnia and this combo helped me sleep 8 years ago.
Actually, I had hypersomnia on this combo, which is weird because I have insomnia. It runs in my family. I would sleep 10 hours then force myself to get up and drink coffee. I just want normal sleep. Like 7 to 8 hours.
When I was on 4mg of risperidone, generic risperdal, I could sleep if taken at the same time every night. now my life is different from then and almost requires irregular sleeping habits, doc raised my dose to 6mg and it’s difficult to sleep until after I get my dose.

@screwercs I can’t take more than 2mg without profound akathisia and sleeplessness due to that. I wish I could take more. I am glad you are able to tolerate 6mg and even sleep on that dose. Good for you.
