I have a relationship of respect & trust with my psychiatrist. (even though sometimes my paranoia says she is with “them” when she doesnt pick up the phone).
Today I am gonna see a second doc for a second opinion cos my father didn’t like the sz part of my diagnosis (sza). He insisted and i said yes finally, just for once. I feel like I am cheating to my doc. you know the feeling? what’s your relationship with your doc? professional or friendly? my psychiatrist knows me better than anyone else. i have told her everything.

I can’t handle too many people liking me. It started long ago. But a lot of people know me from the stores and restaurants around my house. I just can’t reciprocate to too many people but when I told my case mange this he replied, "You don’t have to have like or dislike your doctors or Social Security workers or me or whatever, you don;t have to have relationships with them all. You can see these people and be neutral and save all your energy of liking people just for your friends. This made a lot of sense to me.

A good shrink pics up on your moods and thought quite easily.
I see mine every 6 weeks for 15 minutes tops…but we always do 10 or less. We talk about cricket…it’s a year long game these days and he picks my mood and responses. We move from that!
Nick is right. You don’t need a relationship with your doc over anyone else. You just need some results. Mind you…it’s good you have a good interaction…they’ll pick up on more if they are any good.
You don’t need to like them. You need to respect them though if they are any good! You don’t lose a good psydoc!

so you are saying that strictly professional is best. i see her as demigod that saves me from the hell of my mind…
I dont have to like my psychiatrist, I do it naturally. I know her for so long & she is the only person that understands. I can talk freely to her. you see what I am saying?

this new psychiatrist is famous & professor of psychiatry. he found me sza as well. my father finally accepted the schizo part.

the new psychiatrist told me to increase risperidone to 9mg and quit tegretol-mood stabilizer. risperidone will handle my bipolar too, he said. let’s see. I told my psychiatrist about the appointment with this new guy, I hope she is fine with it.
That’s exactly how I look upon my pdoc!

because this guy is renowned & professor he charged me more than double the price i pay to my regular psychiatrist. and while I see my regular one for 1 hour or more, i saw him for maybe 20minutes…

he also told me to not spend too much time with elders (my grandma & grandpa) cos they influence me in a bad way. i should go out with people my age and be social. i told him i dont like people. He said it would be good for my mental health
