Lots of people do that. You may have to invest in a good generator, propane, and source a sewage dump location but otherwise I think it is a great way to live.
…and you can learn of all the material items that you can live without.
My wife and I are considering it. She wants to build a large house once she gets her continuing contract, but… We’re both in our fifties. Do we really need that much space? I’m pushing for getting a converted bus we can travel in during the pleasant season and purchasing a small condo as a homebase for winter.
I have a travel trailer but it’s kind of small. I have had it for months and haven’t gone camping yet. It’s still new pretty much. Haven’t even taken the plastic off the mattress.
Do it! It will be an adventure like no other. You’ll get to see amazing scenery, and while traveling and living out of an RV can be stressful at first, once you get into the groove and your backyard is Yellowstone Park, or Zion National Park, or even the Grand Canyon it’ll be worth it.
I’m working on getting healthy enough to start traveling again. I did in my mid 20’s for work, and when the office was outside in Alaska, I knew I was doing something right. My drinking problem and the illness put a temporary damper in that, but my goal is to get out there and see more sights.
I have it in storage right now but I am going to look at a new storage facility soon that’s also a campground and has electricity hook ups. And a covered roof. It’s on the Tickfaw River. The campground isn’t open yet though
oh my what a change !! I hope you find a cushy RV camp with plenty of neighbors…I used to live in a RV camp in kissimmie florida…was a great time except the end part which I won’t go into…good for you !! I hope you have mosquito repellent and a taser for wild animals.
In all seriousness though we have a lot of people from California and NY moving here because of how cheap everything is. I predict our city is going to be the “next big thing” in the near future.
