Quitting cigarettes

i know people here have quit cigarettes. I haven’t had one since yesterday morning. I’m supplementing my nicotine with a small myle pod vape. I don’t use it excessively. will i start to feel better soon after leaving the cigs alone for a while?

I would try supplementing with the gum or lozenge before vaping.

Hand to mouth is part of the smoking habit, and vaping encourages that.

It has been a long time since I gave up cigarettes, and I forget how long it takes to start feeling better.

I found physical exercise helped a lot when quitting. Replace unhealthy habits with healthy ones.

Good for you!! I felt like crap at first, and then it slowly tapered off. But you also have an ecig so that will probably help lessen the withdrawal, I did just did it cold turkey and it sucked…

You can do it!!! Be a healthy!!

Hand to mouth habit… that’s a good point, didn’t even think about that.

i have used gum and lozenges. I didnt mention them in my original post just because for me the vape seems to work the most

I was on the lozenge for 4 years before finally getting nicotine free.

As long as you stick with it you will get results.

well my doctor put me on wellbutrin for a down mood and she asks if i smoke and i said yeah so i might as well try again. last time I quit i became manic and had no idea (before all this sza and medication stuff) i just want to give it another shot and see how i like being cig free

I quit a few years ago, it was fairly difficult at first ( a few failed attempts) but then I made it.
I didn’t feel a world of difference but I am definitely breathing better and my days are calmer without having to think about the next cigarette break all the time. 10/10, would recommend.
Also I know that I’m taking better care of my body and that makes me feel good.

If you have trouble quitting, my mom (when she quit) did this thing where she had a calendar and would put a smiley sticker whenever she went the day without smoking. It’s the little gratification of putting the sticker that can get you through the day…

Good luck and best wishes

I think that not getting lung cancer is a good motivator. Here where I am in the past I have seen one young man who smoked and then one day he came and said he has lung cancer, after this I have not seen him any more, he has gone somewhere. So unfortunate. He would be 49th on my list.
