But I suppose I can shift this with a diet. Overall still glad I got off the nicotine
yeah it is a tough two weeks to break the habit, but now that you have done it DON’T GO BACK!
Dieting is a longer project to undertake, sadly.
try eating your dinner on a saucer instead of a plate…that way if you have seconds or thirds you still only eat one plate worth. I eat frozen dinners and salmon patties and am still losing weight.
Official WHO guidelines say the weight gain from quitting smoking/vaping is still healthier than continuing to smoke.
@anon94176359 Try the brocolli sprout extract; it’ll speed up your metabolism like cigarettes do, it’ll probably make you crave nicotine less.
Yeah good work. It’s common to gain some but you can lose it. Be strong and good luck! Eating right is a great way for future health. It’s worth the investment!
well done @anon94176359, you kicked a habit & that is no small thing. I am trying to cut down on my drinking. I’m also trying to lose weight by eating less & eating healthy and exercising.
My 2 cents worth is try to do age-appropriate exercise. I did a tonne of research and decided the best exercise for me in my mid-40’s is short workouts of High Intensity Interval Training. (Short workouts suit my extremely short attention span so that works!)
