The good: Today marks the 1 week mark of no smoking cigarettes for me. I already notice my breathing is better even after only 7 days. Feeling confident i’ll keep this going. Going to start exercising again
The bad: I havent been eating healthy and have put on some weight this past week. Need to have more will power when it comes to eating healthy
When i quit smoking cold turkey the first time i was ravenous for food. Apparently this is common. You may gain some weight. Aside from that it is still worth it. Congratulations
I’ve lost 25 pounds on olanzapine in the past but I eventually gained it all back. I know its difficult but with the right diet and exercise it can be done.
I’ve lost about 80 in the last three years. Recently though I gained ten. Then the last time I was weighed I lost 5. According to the scale I’m 215.
I want to lose about 55 more then put on some muscle. I’m pretty sure they don’t like me running on the treadmill as I always get a short mania afterword. That runner’s high is the best. I want to see what it’s like running mad.
I’m still a very good runner considering how out of shape I am. That airborne unit running has stayed with me. When I weighed 280 I ran a mile without stopping. About died literally. Then when I recently ran couple days ago I ran ten minutes. I wanted to quit the first 5. Kept pushing by the ten minute mark I felt like I could run another 20. I wasn’t even breathing heavy. Then the runners high woooooh.
IF there is a point to my post it’s that you should try running.
Congratulations on the not smoking! You’ve made it this far, I think the hard part is soon over.
As for the junk food I don’t have much advice besides eat lots of vegetables and fruit. I was on a health kick one time and buying whole coconuts was awesome. You get the energy boost of the milk plus the meat is a good chew and tastes satisfying. There’s just a trick to cracking them.
