TW: Tobacco

I have put on a load of weight since quitting vaping. As a result am beginning to consider going back on tobacco.

Stupid huh?

Could do with some good reasons not to go back on the devils lettice

Definitely not tobacco man. Vaping is bad enough…but tobacco is even worse IMO.

I can’t say much about nicotine use. I would have no credibility. I still vape, but dont go backwards man.

I looked out some old nicotine gum I had and it hadn’t expired. Chewing some now.

Nicotine does feel good. But you are right - I worked hard to get off tobacco and hard again to quit vaping. I have a lot to lose

Like it’s kinda new science but there’s growing weight about the metabolic treatment for sure.

All’s I can say is keto works for weight loss. I had the same problem for gaining after giving up the smokes and being on zyprexa.

I also exercised heaps and never moved a pound…Got a bit serious and did no sugar/lo fat but honestly. Doing the keto thing and exercise did some amazing things and I’m still on that bandwagon.

Giving up smoking was still the best decision I ever made for my health because nicotine is a nasty chemical and once you get over the addiction you don’t really need it. Have a coffee. It isn’t so different in effect but so much better for your health.

hope you don’t go back to smoking @el_Jimbobbio putting on outside right now.

That’s stupid jimbobbio. You may aswell (don’t!) puke after eating and have all your teeth corroded. It’s the same principle.

Btw you can control hunger while not smoking. Just need to man up.

Whatever you do don’t go back to tobacco. I’m torn between vaping and smoking because they both give me serious breathing problems. It’s awful, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. I may get frustrated and quit too.

Smoking tobacco will ruin your health and probably kill you, and you pay good money for this. If you need a nicotine hit to keep off the weight then vaping is the better option imo.

It is a lose lose lose scenario.

You put on the weight from not vaping after having given up tobacco.

You go back to smoking tobacco and do nothing about losing the weight you gained, so there you are at step minus one. Weight gained, smoking tobacco and jumping going back to vaping instead.

Silly move if you ask me!

Congrats on quitting smoking/vaping!

It’s a big achievement.

Gum seems like a good idea.

A lot of people struggle with weight gain after quitting smoking. I don’t think it’s a question of him not manning up
