Questioning what my pdoc said to me today

We were talking about withdrawals because I recently lowered my dose to 4.5 mg paliperidone but she said when I go down to 3 mg I can take a 4.5 mg dose and a 3 mg dose every other day to lessen the withdrawals but I couldve swore that I read somewhere taking meds every other day will make me sick? Like a fluctuation of meds in my system?

Im not getting off meds I still take an invega shot which I will continue to take just trying to get off the pills

When I got the shot while on 3mg pills she told me I could stop the pills that day. The shot would kick in as the half life of the pills are 24 hours.

I’ve taken pills before with alternating dosages. Like “x” amount this day, then “y” amount the next day, then back to “x”. I was fine. Can you talk to your pdoc about your concerns?
