I’m presently on 125mg of clozapine per day
My positive symptoms are still at bay and we are thinking of tampering off this medication
Do you guys think it’s possible? What is the minimum dosage to have effects on psychosis?
I want to get off it if possible
I’m on 325. They can’t increase dose for risk of fits. Some people do really well on it. For me it hasnt worked that good for me.
My pdoc told me 200mg is the minimum effective dose for psychosis and I used to take that dose.
Now I take 25 mg for sleep (next to Invega).
Invega is the injection?
I’m not sure yet my situation
But I’m at this low dose and I seem to still be ok
I really think my episode 13 years ago was probably due to marijuana and alcohol abuse
I can say my hallucinations stopped the moment I stopped cannabis and ironically started clozapine at the same time
I used to be at 450mg for first few years
Anyway, I guess I’ll tamper off and maybe try Vraylar like my pdoc suggests

I take 12 mg of Invega pills daily (the max dose).
125 mg of Clozapine is considered a very low dose. Maybe you can manage on a none Clozapine trestment. But for most people Clozapine is considered a stay on drug because that it’s considered the Gold standard for treatment resistance.

Yes no more voices since I started clozapine
It’s been about 10 years I’m on it now
Now I’m on minimal dose and trying to taper down
