If your government stopped paying for your meds what would you do?
I’d have to switch to an affordable drug that you could pay cash for. The other option is to apply for a patient assistance program where the drug manufacturer donates the medication to you for free.
Stop taking them.
I guess I would just go off meds and roam around psychotic and hope I didn’t get into any trouble.
We pay for our meds still. I get like a $6 payment for meds but they are subsidized because I’m on a disability pension. It’s way cheaper but faced without them I’d be in big trouble after a couple of weeks.
When I was on government assistance, they wouldn’t pay for my meds. I burned through my savings in the two months it took to get on Mr. Star’s insurance.
They’d have to deal with my ass off meds.
I’m on government assistance but not Medicaid. So I pay for a prescription plan. I switched all my meds to ones that are cheap with that plan. If they stopped paying their share I’d use a drug discount plan like GoodRx. My meds are cheap anyways
It’s hard to answer because I just can’t imagine this happening. Wat I could and did used to worry about was if there was a war and it meant meds could not be distributed. That used to really worry me in the back of my mind.
It sucks having to rely on something like meds for this reason, makes u think of wat if situations… Just got to hope for the best really
No more meds then
It would ruin me financially. These meds are very expensive.
In the UK there is a flat charge of £9 per item for up to 2 months. Or you can buy a certificate for £104 a year and you can get as many pills as you like
I’m in the US and I’m not on government assistance but I used to be without insurance. Patient assistance programs are the best. I got my Vraylar back in the day as well as my Invega Sustenna injections both from patient assistance programs through the drug companies. They only have those for name brand drugs though but they work great. They give you meds for free if you qualify under their income bracket.
Probably grow my own.
If meds were to become unattainable, I’d first freak out. Like having to take a long poo. Then I’d realize that I had about 25 days til I became floridly psychotic. I’d empty my savings account trying to locate my ap. I’d rather be broke than clinically crazy. If and when I found it, I’d likely resettle nearby as to insure that I’d be medicated. The end.
My family would probably help me get them. Otherwise as @antidepressant044 said they would also have to deal with my ass off meds too.
I usually use the GoodRx app for meds. Not sure if something like that exists in your country.
I would be screwed because it means I have to
go back to the hell of being scared and confused
Don’t take my meds, that sucks so bad
If you ruin my life it will suck so sad
