Are inflated, ego, self-esteem, or grandiosity a form of Egomania or Megalomania? Is it part of Schizophrenia Spectrum and Other Psychotic Disorders?
grandiosity and megalomania are basically synonymous which are part of sz
i dont think inflated ego, self esteem are linked to those delusions. it may seem like an inflated ego to have grandiose delusions, but I dont think it is interpreted that way
You should buy the DSM-5 diagnostic book. You would probably like it for this sort of answers
I already have DSM pdf file.
Why are you posting this in the News category???
I did not know where to post this, I am sorry!
Even more so with schizoaffective i think. Grandiose and huge ego’s, plus a feeling of superiority over others are very common in the manic side of sza.
I suggest reading the forum description before posting in it so you know whether you’re on-topic or not.

I have delusions of grandeur coupled with an inferiority complex. I’ll save all mankind and then spend the rest of my life apologizing for it.

Hmmm, and proud of it… Now am I eligible for the “maple syrup of-the-month club.”?
I feel really special.
I feel like I’ve been through some challenges but often dealt with it and so it continues.
I don’t know if that is grandiosity or just normal.
I do know that I’m not perfect though.
But I think I’m smart though when I say it out loud I’m suddenly not so sure.
