Question about brexpiprazole vs abilify

it says here that

“Rexulti is theoretically a more effective antipsychotic but comes with a larger risk of extrapyramidal symptoms and prolactin elevation, because its intrinsic activity at D2 receptors is 43% vs 61% for Abilify”

Does a lower % d2 receptor occupancy relate to more occupancy? Im confused I thought a lower % equaled lower occupancy…

does anyone know?

That’s confusing for me too. Maybe it’s a bogus article.

It sounds like they mixed their numbers up, but I could be wrong.

It lets in less D2 than Abilify does. Abilify would reduce the amount of dopamine binding to receptors, Rexulti reduces this amount even more.

Sorry not D2, dopamine. D2 is an inhibitory dopamine receptor
