Psychosis feels great?

Sometimes I’m scared when I’m psychotic, sometimes I am frustrated when I cant think clearly or the voices are too loud, and sometimes I am euphoric, like I can experience a world that is my own.

I struggle with the desire to quit meds and be homeless, but I think that may be a delusion or wishful thinking. I’d be less of a burden on my family, but talking to people who have actually been homeless, it’s one of the crappiest positions to be in.

Best to stay on my meds and stay in school. Without meds I couldnt be in school.

All that you wrote may be true for you. But it ain’t true for everybody.

I’ve heard other people say they liked psychosis sometimes.
I was psychotic for 2 1/2 years and I’ll give it that it was maybe interesting a couple of times but never, never close to being enjoyable or anything else positive or good about it.

Meds, keep us out of hospitals. For most people who take meds it improves their quality of life even if it’s just a little. Meds help people function.

The discovery that a drug could help ease the intensity of symptoms and even get rid of some is what got supposedly hopeless patients who otherwise would spend their lives in hospitals, back out into the world and society.

The evidence that medication helps most people is so obvious and overwhelmingly proven that it amazes me when people deny the fact. Medication helps the majority of schizophrenics. It’s been proven in thousands of patients for the past 60 years. It doesn’t work for a minority of people but for the majority who take it will tell you it helps.

What med and dose that you are taking so you can go to school?

There’s an article that says psychosis shrinks your brain more than aps… So aps slow down the rate of brain shrinking. I’ll try to find it for you.

Also there’s a tendency for the voices to get overbearing ly negative with time that’s what happened to me. Aswell

The longer you go unmedicated the harder it may become to treat this is another thing that’s been mentioned in the medical world so I wouldn’t wanna hang around in psychosis for too long.

I still kick myself about having let it lasted so long. I was psychotic for like 8 months first time round. it realy sucks big time

It depends on the personality, on circumstances etc.
Personally, I had a blissful first episode with voices and delusions. I was in contact with Goddess, and I was in Grandeur.
Even now I have more positive and good voices, than violent and evil.

I don’t like feeling psychotic. Meds help. I don’t understand your logic.

Psychosis has changed; now it’s cool to be psychotic. Just look at the United States government. All the “in-crowd” are doing it.
