Latuda has more or less worked as intended, however, I’ve been experiencing increased anxiety from around 16.00 onwards everyday as clockwork. The doctor has just prescribed propranolol to fight this daily scourge. What have your experiences been with propranolol in this regard? Thanks.
Propanolol is pretty good. It worked for my anxiety. I need to get a refill but I have to go to the GP for it.
Propronalol is one med where you need to take it exactly as prescribed and never stop it on your own. The withdrawal can cause a fatal arrhythmia. I was on it for a bit and it didn’t help me, but it’s really helped lots of other people.
Thanks for the warning. I’ve just been reading about the dangers and side-effects, but I’m still in hospital so I trust I’ll be properly monitored.
I take it for my blood pressure, chose it because it also supposedly works on anxiety. I can’t see that it actually works that well for my anxiety. But who knows how anxious I would be without it. I guess it’s hard to say.
I almost died when I stopped propranolol. Be careful, seriously.
My doctor prescribed propranolol for anxiety once.
It made me very tired and caused me to feel like I was about to pass out every time I moved.
Didn’t work for me, but I know it has for several people on the forum.
I take metoprolol which is similar.
Keeps my heart calm.
Pdoc wants me to take as needed. She says I’ll get more benifit upon waking hours.
I take 40mg x4 daily.
Im on it. Not sure if its working or not…
Propranolol is a beta-blocker used for high blood pressure. I wouldn’t recommend it because it can cause rebound hypertension.
