Yeah, I agree. I hear his last words were, “If it weren’t for bad luck, I’d have no luck at all.” He didn’t say it very loud though.

What happened to Socrates?

He angered the leaders of Rome with his controversial philosophical views and his criticism of them and so he was arrested on a trumped up charge of corrupting the youth in Rome. As a punishment, he was made to drink poison which killed him.

Propably almost all of us would be punished the same way if we’d timetravel to those times.

Either that or fed to the lions in front of 10,000 cheering spectators in the Coliseum. They had some really cool ways of punishing people back then.

Some things have to be accepted by faith. This chair won’t collapse under me, my wife is faithful to me, the school will continue handing out degrees in the future. Scrates tested fate like Jesus and received the same punishment, they didn’t deserve. Trying to do a good thing, but the hypocrites again.
