$10 of chicken
$3 of peas and cauliflower
Boiled my veggies in the broth from the chicken.
This is strange how chicken is cheaper than the vegetables.
My dogs are 5.5 lb and 2 lbs right now so this is a lot of food.

How about feeding ur dog liver or kidney instead of chicken it will love it.
I have freeze dried liver as part of their daily diet. Also yoghurt for their bones calcium.
So far I am finding they love everything and not being picky at all. The like the peas more than the asparagus and carrots. But I am switching up protein and vegetables every time I prepare a new batch.
I’m not sure if I can handle fresh liver. I’ll look up preparation and read up on it tho.
Actually, it’s good to add a small amount of liver + other organ meats to your dogs food (in this case chicken) for a more well balanced diet. Don’t forget to add a tiny bit of fruit that’s safe for dogs. Plus, see a dog nutritionist to learn how to balance out your dogs’ nutrition so they can be as healthy as possible.
I’m gonna take my new pup in to the vet and ask about my recipe.
I really have a hard time thinking about organs but I’ll mention that to the vet. I can handle freeze dried.
I used to grind freeze dried liver to kibble cause my dog got so picky and wouldn’t eat.
