I spoiled my dog today

I cooked up his chicken breast in a little butter. He LOVES that! I do it very rarely though. He also had green beans, carrots, a slice of apple, and a little rice today. Yup! He’s a happy doggie!

He must think it’s Thanksgiving! Lol… when I have a sandwich I give my cat a little bit of lunch meat so she’s spoiled too… I do it pretty often but not much at one time

I like to give my cat a little bit of turkey off my turkey sandwich or a small thing of cheese

Thanks @jukebox ! I fed our puppy a little plain chicken breast and a 1/4 cup of rice. For both health and financial reasons I prefer the puppy eat her puppy kibble everyday and just supplement here and there with fresh meat, vegetables, etc

Raw or cooked?

Edit: you cooked! I was watching some videos lately about raw feeding dogs…

That sounds nutritious and yummy.
I need to buy a bag of frozen chicken breast soon too.

I don’t like the idea of raw meat. I wouldn’t want them to get sick from bad meat.

Maybe… I’m not sure. But a lot of people do it, especially with bigger breads like pitties or huskies. They have research backing it up. They say it’s healthy and dogs love it :man_shrugging:

You need to be careful with feeding dogs overly fatty foods as they can get pancreatitis. That means major vet bills. Cooking chicken in butter for your dog is not healthy for your dog. In fact giving “people food” to your dog should be kept to a minimum.

@Moonbeam , I very rarely let my dog have butter, and it was a very small amount. My dog can no longer eat kibble. He eats all his food cooked and soft. The vet okayed this because he’s elderly and has advanced dental disease and I can’t afford all canned wet food.
