I would have to say Abilify for me - it really did not work and may have triggered increasing paranoia and anxiety.
It was way too activating for me!

My doc for some reason was switching me from Latuda to Geodon… and that was a very hard month… that med did NOT work out for me at all.

I pretty much relapsed on it.

I’ve only been on seroquel and i hated it. It gave me arrhythmia and made me black out and hit my head while walking after taking it. It was very effective at stopping my psychosis though.

Olanzapine (Zyprexa)

Zyprexa here too. Got low BP, rapid heart beat, nausea, anxiety, tremor. I was on 20 mg. Great on psychosis though. Came out of it and felt good for a week and then I got side effects and had to stop it. Pdoc in hospital put me on 20 mg at once. Maybe that was the problem.

Seroquel nearly killed me.

I was suffering with Risperdal for years. the side effects made me feel like a zombie. totally awful. judy

The major problem with asserting a “worst” is that research has pretty conclusive’y demonstrated that different anti-Ps may work “better” or “worse” for specific pts at different times and different dose levels.

Autonomic nervous system (“fight or flight”) stress levels are known to be a major factor in sz symptoms which may confound any measures of which med is “best” or “worst,” for example.

Risperdal tripped off a major depression for me. At the time it was horribly expensive to boot.

My pdoc added antidepressants which didn’t work, so I asked to stop Risperdal and went back on a typical AP.

Problem solved.

The only one that’s worked great for me was Abilify, but I’m having trouble getting my new doctor to prescribe it to me so far. I probably haven’t tried much to, so there’s that, I need to… Risperdal was the worst for me. It makes me think of what I don’t want death to feel like.

Seroquel gave me a really difficult time especially the sedating effect it has, my doc tried to put me back on it when I had insomnia but a thousand insomnia I prefer for not being able to wake up at mornings. Invega is an excellent ap

I have three bad experiences with AP atypicals. The first was fanapt. Gave me stomach cramps put me in the hospital. The risperidone on low dose it makes me manic on high doses I become exhausted. Finally invega didn’t do a thing for me.

What dosage were you one?

I said abilify, but I think I should have voted risperdal because I was suicidal when I was on risperdal because of the side effects…abilify cost me half a million dollars bankruptcy due to being delusional and my divorce for that matter.

I had some of my worst psychotic traumas on Seroquel and Ability. The sedating effects of Seroquel had me sleeping until 2pm.

Seroquel at a very low dose made me very somnolent. Had to give up on oral risperdal once after a few weeks as was feeling dizzy and woozy. However on the depot risperdal that has hardly happened.

I was always mildly depressed when I was on Zyprexa. It was a grey world. At least it is not as bad as any of the typical AP’s. Geodon and Seroquel are doing me good now.
