I kinda lost count. I think I’ve been hospitalized 5 times…at least 4 anyways…from 2005-20217 I believe.
I should check my records with my doctor to be sure, I suppose.
When I had the psychotic Christ delusion, it didn’t help my brain being hospitalized.
Jesus was the advocate for the poor and the ill, so I felt I belonged where I was…that it was meant to be.
I can count 5 for sure between 2012 and now but I think it was more that I can’t remember. I spent alot of time sick and homeless. It’s been 2 years since I’ve been in a hospital though which is good. I have finally got the hint about being steady on medication.
Injections have helped me. No need for pills anymore.
I take pills. I have a friend who does the shot and he says it works for him as well
With pills, I’d either forget to take them…be late refilling them…or just stop taking them altogether thinking I had the affliction beat…only to crash 4 weeks later.
I’ve been sane now for 9 months… a pretty good streak for me.
10 or 11. They were lucky to have me.
One hospital was like a country club. Another one was a hell hole.
10 or 11?
Did they keep wanting you back to do a stand-up routine for the other patients?
I’m actually pretty good at taking my pills cause I get scared if I don’t. For a awhile I was forgetting/couldn’t remember if I had taken my morning meds but now my pharmacy delivers them in like a pouch kinda thing that has the date all the different pills and marked morning afternoon and evening so I know if I’ve taken them or not. I my past I would take pills and then just stop for no reason. But this time I’m really dedicated to my sanity because this time it’s working for the first time
They liked me more for my singing. I’m a natural baritone and I used to sing Elvis songs for candy bars. I sound and look just like him but I never got the sneer down pat. But yeah, I found my corner and busked 12 hours a day.
Must be 10 times.
Between around 2015 to 2018 I was not very compliant with my meds, and it took 6 different med changes to settle on Amisulpride
I also had my drivers license taken away because I was too psychotic to drive apparently.
My psychiatrist was pretty cool with me the last time I went into psychosis.
He told me to promise him that I would not drive, otherwise he would have to fill out forms to have my license revoked.
I listened to him and just took the Bus around until I became healthy again.

Probably over 20. They called them “voluntary hospitalizations”, but I was so caught up in the process I didn’t know I could ask for a mental health trial. I did try that a few times, but every time I was sent back to the hospital.
I was in hospital 10 times (4 between 2003-2005, and 6 between 2013-2019)
Between 10 and 15 times and that doesn’t include partial patient programs
Over 20, but none since 2000.
I was hospitalized voluntarily 2 times back in 1989 and 1990. I was in my mid twenties trying to pass my state boards for registered nursing. I didn’t pass them because I couldn’t study properly do to audio and visual hallucinations. I couldn’t become an RN like I planned so I got a job working as a STNA ( State Tested Nursing Assistant ). I worked as an STNA for almost 211/2 years. I had to eventually quit my job because I also have an anxiety disorder and the stress got to be too much (being an STNA is hard work!) I am now on disability retirement.
I been hospitalized 2 times each for 4 months.
First psych ward was terrible but had good after support and the other psych ward was really nice but after i got out they were terrible to get me all the right papers and such.
