I was abandoned at 9 along with my sister… Into foster care. Although being in care was better then living with my mum it still really hurts being abandoned. But I’m a surviver.

My parents had me and my sister. My mom says she wanted two more for a total of four kids. My dad wanted kids. I think my dad really also wanted a boy as my sister came first. So they got blessed with me for their desires.

My parents wanted a baby but they had trouble producing any children for the longest time.

Well, they had my two sisters and I always assumed they were wanted because my parents wanted to start a family. I think after two girls they wanted a boy so I came along.

Yes. My parents had two boys. They tried for a little girl. I was that little girl. But that kind of went all down hill when I accidentally outed myself as trans. At least with my mom it did:( I still struggle with how much she wanted me as a baby, just to reject me for ignorant and selfish reasons as an adult.

My birth mother is so anti-gay because she’s religious she doesn’t know I’m gay through fear of me feeling rejection. I have hardly spoken to her since I was 9 but have a FB relationship.

My youngest sister was an ‘Oops Baby’.
My late father and I were sitting on the porch chatting a few years ago. He said, “You know son, your little sister was a real surprise!”
However, she’s turned out to be the most grounded out of all of us and she’s led a wonderful life so far. She’s a millionaire with 3 lovely children.

Yes, I was very wanted. My mom still tells me that and that she loves me.
My dad had a hard time accepting my illness. I think he lacked empathy and understanding of schizophrenia. He just kept telling me I should get a job and move on. I think he regrets having me now and blames my mom for my schizophrenia.

This question brought me to tears.Photos of my mum happily holding me as a baby. At some point that changed into 'You were an awkward,baby,toddler ,child, teenager etc. A father that packed me off to boarding school, rather than please my mother by switching to work at the home office. Who did far more to help my sister financially than help my brother and I, even though she was far better off financially than either of us.
The sense of being a disappointment,of not living up to expectations.The 10 years of boarding school ,with the bullying related trauma that I still struggle with. The love and the hurt. The emotional pain.

I’m too scared to ask.
I do know (grandma told me, may her soul rest in peace) that after falling pregnant, mom wished for a boy, whereas dad had mixed feeling for a while.
They’ve raised me to the best of their ability. Times weren’t easy.

I was probably a mistake. My brother was a year old when I was born. I think my mom wanted a girl too, but my dad was having an affair and got someone else pregnant at the same time.

I have a good relationship with my parents. Their divorced and nearing retirement.
