I did ! The day before I was first involuntarily admitted to hospital. I was desperate.

Haha, yes. I think it was aluminum foil though. I was trying to stop people from reading my mind. I only tried it for one day though as it seemed to me that people were still reading my mind, so I thought that it wasn’t working.

At first I thought this was a joke but three people voted yes so far.

Hahaha no, never a hat, but I was gearing up to paper my bedroom ceiling in tinfoil! I was waiting for the dollar store to open when I was involuntarily hospitalized :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I’ve never worn one personally, but I run a small business making stylish fashion-forward tin foil hats for others LOL. People seem to quite like them

Technically, mine wasn’t a hat either. I wore mine under a hat.

Super stereotypical, but when the satellites won’t stop reading your thoughts and you’re only sleeping an hour a night, you get desperate :winking_face_with_tongue:

I thought so too until I remembered a user a couple of years ago who, in all seriousness, advised people with intrusive thoughts that they could lessen them by wearing hats of light cloth lined with something isolating, like tin foil.

Some stereotypes are true I guess

Oh you’re right, I remember now!
He had tested many materials and configurations and found one that apparently worked.

To stop mind reading you would probably need a knights helmet like they had back in mideaval times. That’s why there were so few mental problems back then. Jk :relaxed:

I used it for thought insertion.

Never made a tinfoil hat, but have barricaded doors with every piece of loose furniture possible, then stayed up for days on guard, just watching the door.
