I have a Chromebook and I love it; what about you?
I don’t have one, but whenever I decide to get a laptop again that’s likely what I’ll get.
It’s great as long as you don’t want to play games or download stuff on it.
If you use only a browser and some simple applications it is the best! I would surely choose it over a phone.
I have a tablet that runs google software
I’m struggling to see the advantages of it
Status symbol is all I’m guessing. Maybe some development work can be done on it.
it is a cheaper laptop.
Really? I thought Apple products were status symbols; I find the chrome book to be more humble.
Like Amazon Fire is… a symbol of poverty.
Oh wait what am I on.
only the newer ones that can use google play store
I have a Samsung Chromebook and I put an SD card in it with Ubuntu operating system. Now I can toggle between Chromebook chrome cloud or whatever and Ubuntu. With the SD card I can install a limited number of programs, like VLC and code blocks.
I liked it a lot!
There’s some YouTube videos on how to get Ubuntu on to Chromebooks, if you’re interested. However, it did take a while to install. Fyi
What’s a Chromebook?
I have a chromebook and it’s lasted a very long time. It’s a great thing to have if you have internet access, and don’t care about running windows programs or games. I tried installing linux on it, and it worked, but it was causing some overheating so I cut that out.
It can run dosbox on a google app so you can run some good old games that run on dos. It was funny turning my samsung chromebook into a Darklandsbook or Masterofmagicbook.
I like my chromebook but I don’t like that it doesn’t have a standard right click like most laptops do.
A low end laptop optimized to browse the internet.
This is what my bf told me. It is only a browser
I have a Chromebook that I’m using right now.
Its great for browsing the internet, but anything else, you need another computer.
I had to get another laptop just for my games.
