I am deeply confused over the Politics in my country right now, its kind of ruining xmas, like who the heck wants to discuss politics at xmas? its meant to be a time for celebrating,
I hate talking politics. It’s a subject i avoid if at all possible.
I feel so torn politically.
I do not know who to vote for.
My father says if I do not vote liberal then I should not be aloud to vote and that they are the only party that will not put our country in debt.
My mum says the greens might be a good vote.
My bf votes independent.
I love politics. Especially at the moment because there is so much stuff going no…sadly not good stuff though. But you’re right, when politics is playing bad, it really puts a downer on celebrations such as Christmas. I hope you have a good Christmas and try not to let politics overshadow your good day.
What country do you live in? Australia? If so, i personally vote the Greens. Their policies are similar to Labors but they are more environmentally focused.
I am personally enjoying the schadenfreude a bit.
I don’t listen to the news. I’m allowed a weakness and it is my weakness to only hear the news that gets filtered down through a few people.
My country is in the midst of a political circus right now,
I just ignore it.
If you don’t want to worry about politics, don’t.
Don’t watch the news don’t read the papers.
Stepdad keeps news on all the time, sometime’s it’s just too much and I need headphones and to go into another room. I really don’t need negativity, especially from things that truly aren’t going to affect me any time soon.
And all his news channel does is say that people belonging to my political party are evil and treasonous. I don’t need a bunch of talking heads insulting me and everything I stand for day after day. I just would rather not hear anything political at home for quite some time.
Yes.
Australia
If you do not vote here you get fined $1000.
I can not afford such a fine.
I was on a date a couple of years ago with a man who was willing to pay $1000 to not vote.
He was a really nice guy.
He exercised race horses which was his job.
I do not read nor watch the news either
It’s to much input for me and can make me feel unwell…worse…
I sometimes read headlines on yahoo
I forget who it was, but somebody said he was addressing a crowd of greenpeace people before the 2000 Presidential election, and he told them, “You’re sure going to feel funny if Bush beats Gore by only a few points because you guys threw the election to Bush.” That’s exactly what happened. It was a very close election, and the greens got five per cent of the vote, throwing the election to Bush. According to some of the greens, the Democrats and the Republicans are like syphilis and ghonorea, they’re both bad. However, it sure matters to us if the Democrats run the country. Life will be better for us if the Democrats win.
i’m from the uk and i am being literally torn apart by politics atm i’m trying not to let it affect me but man i hate this, hope no-one else is going mad over it,
Politics have been pretty bad in the US since the idiot took office. I don’t pay attention anymore…
I’m worried about what if the stock market - fails (?)
Then do talk about it or think about it.
Then dont 467997643
I’m thinking about how things will go in my life. Kind of like if there’s a n earthquake or a super volcano or a comet crashing the earth.
I hide in my own way like everyone else.
I am very much a political animal ,but as it’s forbidden here I try not to post political stuff. It can be damn hard not to at times.
