Walk out on my balcony to smoke a cigarette and there is the North Las Vegas Police parked a few cars down from mine. Had to think if I done anything lately. But nope, I’m good. They still make me nervous though lol.
■■■■! Another one just showed up. Now I’m getting paranoid.
I’m getting paranoid by the police too.
I get super paranoid whenever I see police as well
They make me nervous also. Just close the curtains and try to distract yourself. They’re not there for you.
I’m the same way even though I have a clean record.
Yeah. It’s hard not to with my past. I have a lot of charges from when I was on drugs and I always get scared even though I took care of all that stuff years ago.
I’m glad to hear I am not the only one.
Good idea. Had to get my step daughter from school today because she has pink eye. So I am hanging out with her right now to distract me.
I get paranoid without having any charges. that’s the crazy thing.
It makes me feel better that even someone with a clean record gets nervous. Thanks for sharing.
Poor girl. I hope she feels better soon.
my new place doesn’t have as much police. actually the county doesn’t even have a jail, it’s much nicer. in the old neighborhood there was 2 or 3 patrol cars 24/7…anyways my therapist has advised me not to mention police and try not to worry about them
Awe thank you. I let her know you said that. She got so happy and said thank you.
Yeah being paranoid of the police is a SZ symptom.
My former AA sponsor used to talk about how paranoid he was while he was trying to sue the police. He said he saw them everywhere, and if they weren’t really following him, he believed they were. He finally gave up on his law suit.
Yeah that’s a hard law suit to win. lol
Awww what a cutie!
Completely clean record here and this would always freak me out. I live on a very quiet street now and so it barely comes up, but when I lived on a more central one, it happened a couple of times a week.
For some reason, telling my cat that the law was on to him always calmed me down - I think it was being able to acknowledge the feeling and also the silliness of it that helped.
Awe. That’s cute. Glad your cat was able to calm you through the thoughts. They just left. What a relief I feel right now.
