He really scares me. Anyway I told him months ago the decking outside is really slippy. He said he would fix it and he hasn’t. I got the courage to message him again today.

Have you had any problems with him before now? Like, do you think he forgot or isn’t a very good landlord?

I’m sorry. I’ve lived in a couple apartments but they were those giant complexes and I never even saw my landlord. I only saw two people in an office, once when I got the apartment and once when I gave notice. Otherwise I slipped the rent in a nice bronze slot. Now I live with my mom. She is much nicer but I have to say the phrase ‘I’m a 37 year old man who lives with his mom.’
Some landlords, I’ve heard, you can get them moving if you learn just a tiny bit about laws regarding tenancy and use it to scare them a little . But if he is as scary as you say, maybe not.
