Are you afraid of your landlord/landlady?

I’m so scared of her even though she is very kind to me. I need to text her to tell her the oven doesn’t work. I’m going to ask her to wait til January 6th when the kids go back to school.

I am scared that mine will find fault with me. Our carpet is a mess, but we’ve lived here for 9 1/2 years with the same carpet, so I figure it’s normal to have a few stains. A couple of years ago, they re-did the upstairs bathroom because of a leak. The new tub wall looks like it is separating from the wall a bit because there is a crack all the way around it. Then, where the tub wall meets the tub, I don’t think it was sealed correctly because water runs through that crack and down the wall. It’s created cracks in the drywall. I don’t want them to think it is our fault, so I haven’t said anything. I need to clean the house, then suck it up and tell them so they can come look at it.

Anyhow, my point is that you aren’t alone.

Im sorta respectful to my Landlord - cos its the local council, so try to be a good tenant like sweep out the back and recycle, and only put the rubbish out when its due.

Some private landlord had it in for me tho when i was in some dump with mold up the walls. I was paying more rent for that studio flat - than i do now on a one bed council flat.

Im sure she was rigging the electric - it was costing me 6 pounds a day just to run a fridge and a tv. She wound me up one day, so i launched the heater out the 2nd floor window and aimed for her flashy car. Good job i missed in hindsight tho. Flaming old tart. I told her so as well.

Ive done my stint with putting up with loud parties and smackheads - with the landlord not giving a toss. But scared? Never.
