I don’t know but I find that playing violent video games (e.g. Grand Theft Auto 5) really gives me a release from my angst from everything. It used to be really helpful dealing with my command hallucinations during the day and I would look forward to playing something violent in the evening. Like why go around clubbing people with a baseball bat in real life when you can just load up something like GTA 5 and do it there? With that game I get a whole range of violent things I can do to the virtual people like gunning your way out of a traffic jam, holding up gas stations and killing all the witnesses, or killing hookers for your money back just to name a few. The doctors and therapists that I met in my first few hospital visits told my parents to keep me away from these games but I still felt that it was a really good coping skill. At least I know and knew that that stuff is all in a game and not real life.
Anyone else like playing violent video games to release stress?
I know how to love. I love my friends and family. Music helps me too but I sometimes enjoy listening to the in game music while I’m running virtual people over on the sidewalk if that makes sense.
I used to like those kind of games as a kid and so did half of my friends But there are influences that you shouldn’t let into your life. It’s about change a greater future where there will be peace and no war but love for one another. You need to look at more important things like global issues and world powers. These games are apart of curruption and should be avoided.
So you’re saying I should watch the news and at the same time wish for a perfect world? I don’t see how video games themselves can be corrupt but sometimes the save files get corrupted.
people downing games is like downing basketball or football, only with video games, it’s an anti technology twist. E-sports are real sports with tournaments, matches, etc. your average gamer doesn’t own a physical gun. not trying to sound pretentious
Well the games i play are already established in terms of coding(older games)
maybe for new games disregarding the fact that i rarely buy new games, make them with sunshine and rainbows, but im content with the well established game structure that took a lot of effort from developers
Im glad the tide turned…getting rid of video games would be like burning all books…i enjoy the freedom of choices i can make in the wonderful stories they created…
