I actually have a degree in philosophy. So yes I enjoy it very much though I will say sometimes it fueled some of my delusions and derealization (what is real???)

Like evolution they are all just ways that keep us from the 'old man" the wisdom of man is just that but the old man said his way is foolishness to them. But nevertheless he is the truth and (so simple) what he says goes and is all that is required.

I have a degree in philosophy too, although I got my degree 24 years ago and remember practically nothing. It was very interesting at the time, though. Plato was my favourite.

I like thought experiments like the ā€˜spelunkian explorersā€™ ā€¦ do you know it?

I also like ā€˜Russellā€™s teapotā€™ which was the predecessor to ā€œthe flying spaghetti monsterā€™.

Both of these could be legal type topics. But that may stand to reason bc Iā€™m currently bias toward leniencyā€¦

I argued to him that since my body was physically olderā€¦ due to nicotine, I may just have a form of wisdom that he hasnā€™t gotten to, yet.

I liked Modern European Philosophy a lot. The three rationalists were mind boggling, and the response from the Empericists was no less.

Now I think even a subject like Mathematics comes from experience. I liked Descartes, but donā€™t reasonably feel the rationalists got it correct.

Philosophy has its origins in the mystery schools, but all too often people just use it as an exciuse for intellectual masturbation.
