I am sz and overthink everything and also heavily medicated for over two decades so my brain is soft…
Still. I’m reading Chalmers Reality + about simulation theory. It’s pretty good. I’m getting bits of it but I’ve my limitations…Don’t want to give you bad ideas but it’s all a journey with thought! It really is but appreciate you dig this stuff. I used to be like that back in the day!
More power too you!
I just like figuring stuff out. That’s what life’s all about. Picking things and having things falling in your lap and figuring them out..I just don’t settle for figuring out things that are put there. Good things.
Yeah it’s cool.
You can make a career out of it for sure. Problem is that with sz it’s about function for most.
Do you have a good social network and support system too? It’s just as important as the thoughts system…
Yeah I got some friends out of town, an hour a way, my best friend lives 10 minutes from me. My family is really supportive. Schizophrenia runs in my mom and dads side of the family. My dad had schizophrenia. I take care of my mom now, she dealt with my dad’s schizophrenia so she’s used to it. My dad was far gone though because he also had epilepsy. His brain was fryed. He was a smart guy, the brain damage from epilepsy made him aggressive. My mom had to leave him he tried to kill us a few times.
Im not going to watch it but i love thought provoking ideas. Are there any particular philosphers or theorists or whatever that you especially enjoy or connect with?
A lot of philosophers always critique Immanuel kant. I like the existentialists. I’m big into continental philosophy. It mostly does literary critiques. Analytical philosophy is like the metaphysics of science and stuff like that.
I usually read books like this that master a topic and include all philosophers that have contributed to this area of study. Good things.
That sounds like a good way to go about it ay!
