The bathroom light that was flickering last night has completely gone dead. It’s not a problem for me while on my own because I can pee with the bathroom door open. However it’s not on with company or if company wants to pee while here.
Stepdaughter says she’ll look at it , but cleaner who comes tomorrow morning usually has a pee here before going on to her next client . I’ll have to tell her she can’t unless she can cope with peeing in total darkness.
It’s not as challenging for people who are already used to sitting when they pee. Your cleaning lady should hopefully be able to manage. Good luck getting it fixed!

I don’t know why but I feel bad about it though. Which is of course totally illogical as I can’t control when the bulb gives out.
Do you have a candle or flashlight you can put in there temporarily?

Unfortunately no candle. All I have is a wind up flashlight but you don’t want to use one of those while having a pee !

It probably just needs a bulb replacing , but I’d struggle to take off the light casing and as for standing on a chair without feeling I’m going to topple over …
I used to live in the dark when ill, I peed once and the lid was down

If you have a spare light bulb, could you ask the cleaner if she feels comfortable replacing the light bulb for you?
As she is here for cleaning specifically I wouldn’t have the nerve to ask her that . It’s a light with a wide, round, enclosed cover rather than a lamp shade . I’m not good at describing these things but more like
rather than a bulb with a standard light shade.

Stepdaughter has phoned the housing association. They say they have to change the bulb.Their system is down , but they said they’ll make an appointment for it to be done as soon as possible. As for worrying about the cleaner peeing here that just shows what a nitwit I am in some respects. It’s not dark in the bathroom with the door closed now it’s daylight .
I pee in the dark all the time. i don’t like the light shining in my eyes when I have to get up in the middle of the night, so I just close the door, walk three paces to the toilet, and do my thing. When you sit down, it’s simple, I wouldn’t do it if I were male though.

What made you ask that? No,I’m not. I live independently albeit with support to allow me to do so.
If you happen to live in a nursing home, I want to ask you the admission policy of nursing home. Because people with psychosis are not allowed to the nursing home in China, I want to know what will happen in the U.S.
