Pdoc Appointment Outcome

So I had my final appointment before my psychiatrist retires. I was pretty upset as he was a good doctor who has treated me for 15 years since I was 17.

I am now on Zoloft (Sertraline) 50mg which I start today. If anyone has any advice on how good of a drug it is I would appreciate it?

He took me off Olanzapine 10mg PRN as he said it gave me cogwheel rigidity.

My Amisulpride has been put back to 800mg as the difference to 1000mg was negligible.

I have to stay on Diazepam 15mg a day for the next 3-4 months.

I have also been signed off work for two weeks so will be online more if anyone wants to chat with me

Zoloft kicks ass man, Ive been on it for about 3 months coming off prozac and it really is much better.

The Zoloft is good.

Sorry about your Dr retiring.

My doctor said it should stop the anxiety as well as lift my mood. I hope it works fast.

Thanks for letting me know it’s good, I feel more comfortable hearing from someone who takes it that it’s a good med.

I also take sertraline (Zoloft) and its a good medication. I hope it works well for you. Sorry your psychiatrist is retiring.

Zoloft is great but I can’t take it because I go manic, but it’s a great ssri. Sorry you lost your pdoc. Do you have a new one all lined up? Are you going to get signed up for some disability pay for the time your missing off work if that’s even available in your area?

I do have a new one. My old doctor spoke highly of him and said he was going to have a meeting with him about me in the next couple of days to make sure there is continuity.

I can claim £80 per week but I need to find out how.

Can the pdoc’s office help you with that?

And I’m glad you already have a new pdoc lined up, that’s a relief. One less thing to worry about in this stressful time.

I think my employer has to pay it by law but I will check tomorrow. I only had a quick look online. You just need a doctors note.

You’re right. I am sad though as this doctor I have had has been brilliant and I feel privileged to have been under his care.
