Paul the short order cook!

So with mum out of action I’ve been doing the bulk of the cooking. I’ve control over budget and mostly what we eat and dad does the cleaning. Dad isn’t really a cook and I enjoy it although the old man likes pretty mundane things!

So with mum in hospital. Tonight it was steak, hash brown and a fried egg for the old guy and nachos for me!

I actually like cooking and it’s good to do. You get what you put into cooking and I like that !

Mum is still in hospital till monday over the weekend so I need to ramp up the menu for dad and I. Took some money and hooked up with a lot of interesting things to eat. It’s not hard but it’s a bit of planning ahead!

Sounds like you’re doing a great job! I am the opposite, though. I hate to cook. I like to eat, though, so that can be a conundrum. Keep at it, @rogueone!

Yeah my mom is disabled and bound to a wheelchair so my father does most of the cooking.
We both help take care of my mom.

Good going @rogueone!

I love men who know how to cook. In my day, a lot of mothers thought their sons would just get married and no need to teach them any domestic skills. Quite lazy of them.

My uncle was born in the 60s. My grandmother’s only son of 5 kids. She told him,“I’m not leaving you for some woman to raise!” So she taught my uncle to iron and cook. My uncle’s a good cook :man_cook:

My dad cooks more than his gf does. He’s a better cook than her (I call her my stepmom. I’ve known her since I was a little kid)
