I’m putting it in the lounge because its not so much a symptom… does anyone here have a public account and if so do you get contacted by random people you don’t know… does that make you feel suspicious?
I have a private account and sometimes I receive friend requests from people who I don’t know.
I find friend requests fine but i get from weird people… id ont even have any pictures on there but get random people saying hi where do you live are you married ?
My account is also private and sometimes I get friend requests too. I used to get really paranoid about social media and internet stuff. I shut my accounts down for about 2 years but I’m doing much better now and interacting. There is nothing going on honestly. I know it’s hard for you to take my word on that though.

Well there was one time I blocked someone on Instagram. The same guy found me on Snapchat and sent me a screenshot of the block asking me why i blocked him…

Yeah. That happens to me too, specially with men. They start a conversation and then I block them.

There are some pretty strange people out there but nobody is out to try and do you any harm

I’ve heard rumours that people will be followed and contacted by scammers on Instagram.
My cousin’s husband warned me about scammers and told me they usually have 1340 in their names when they scam people in the art community.

Some people are really creepy… that’s why mine is private even though i want to go public… i have zero personal pics to identify me from

That’s true about the scammers. They do cause harm.

Guys do you think if i go public it will be too dangerous… 
i mean i am not like angelina jolie or anything but im still scared… like say if i go somewhere and my house gets robbed.
Just don’t publish where you live
It doesn’t have my last name but its my first name only… still scary cos they could go through friends list find my surname and find where i live… jeez i am really paranoid over this
If it makes you paranoid just thinking about it, don’t do it.

ugh hard decisions… 
If I were you, I wouldn’t go public. All people can see is my profile picture and I receive 1 or 2 friend requests per day, I can’t imagine what would happen if my account was public.
