I felt paranoid on Instagram, but I no longer have any pics of me on there… I want to share my photos of my travels… How safe is it?

And plus you can set your account to private so only people you are friends with will see your stuff.

Yeah I wanted to share my travel photos but I felt too paranoid, but I have no pictures of me or anyone I know. And I want to make videos with music.

I thought there was a way to track someone’s locations based on their photos. But I’m not sure about that.

Yes there probably is, but I will only post photos of places I travel to not when i am there, and not my home photos…

This isn’t just a paranoid opinion, but it is well known to post about vacation when you’re already home from the vacation. Putting it out to the public that you’re going on vacation, and for how long increases chances of getting your home robbed when you’re out of town.

Do I think it’s safe to post pictures on instagram? Absolutely! I just always recommend people err on the side of caution when letting people know you’re on vacation, especially if your account is public.

If people tag the photo with their location in the app, yes. Otherwise, no. The image metadata is stripped as it is posted to their site. If your mobile camera embeds GPS co-ordinates into your image then no worries because it will be removed.

Definitely heed the advice about not posting vacation pics until home.

Thanks all… I want to post for fun, but if I can make some money of reels, I’d like to try that too. I don’t like peoply shots so mine will be all nature or food maybe.
