My paranoia can increase with sounds(not hallucinations) . I was in bed getting into sleep mode when there was a sound like someone was at my bedroom window. As I live on the 1st floor that’s extremely unlikely . Nonetheless my paranoia ramped up and now I’m wide awake. Sounds can and do increase my paranoia. Part of it is due to a degree of difficulty pinpointing where random noises are coming from .

I would think ground floor would be MORE likely to attract an intruder.
Harsh sounds, like someone falling, bother me.
