I regret my statements from last night. I sounded stuck up. It is just that if you are completely unaware of what is going on with this, you are lacking some significant information. Through faith you might have some understanding, but there is a major distinction in my book between having faith in something and experiencing it for yourself.
It is better to NOT know first hand; it is better to be educated in it and learn about it that way, but a formal education in the subject is a long ways away at the rate our society is going.
It is my dream for society to break it down to a science what we are experiencing, in a paranormal sense, not a pathological sense. I dream of our society going through a paradigm shift, and these events becoming common sense knowledge, grounded not purely in faith, but in a philosophical and scientific understanding…
It’s is science that drives the main stream knowledge of humanity. Science is pretty much anti paranormal. There is hope though, I’m sure the total number of beliefs aligned to yours are a great immeasurable number. I just don’t fancy the existence of disembodied super intelligences. Since taking to that belief I have been largely left alone if they are out there. You should try talking to pans or captaincrc they have experiences similar to yours.
Yes everyone may experience something different. I am amazed when someone else mentions something that I have struggled with. I feel like how can mere brain chemicals cause the same kind of thoughts
I used to say to myself people don’t know what’s REALLY going on.
But now I have learned that people may have different experiences. Some one recently posted about how sz have be 8 different diseases. This is why I think some people may be helped by one med and not by another.
But this is just my personal theory to deal with what I experience. Other people may come up with different theories and that is positively AOK.
If Bryan is right, it is just business as unusual; however, if there is even a shred of truth behind what I am saying, it would forever change the course of history if proven.
That would be true. If that were the case we’ve already made contact with a nonhuman intelligence. Couldn’t quite call it extra terrestrial as it is as much here on the earth as it is anywhere else. It is the nature of such things to remain inherently unprovable, but that is what makes it so interesting.
Not all scientific evidence is direct. For instance, the evidence for black holes was indirect for a long period of time, but now I think we can detect the radiation they give off. Also the evidence for dark matter is indirect. Still, the scientific community believes in these things based on indirect evidence. Furthermore, no scientific knowledge is infallible. Scientific proof is based on probability and logic; it is not absolute, unlike mathematical proofs, which are a priori.
Moreover, you are assuming it is ‘unprovable’ based on religious dogma, not science. It is possible, if there is a nonhuman intelligence at work, that we could detect the signal of which they tap into our brains and decode it. The fact of the matter is, we don’t know what the nonhuman intelligence is if it does exist, and I don’t believe we should let religious dogma get in the way of us understanding it.
If the nonhuman intelligence does exist, it should be considered a threat to society. After all, wasn’t the man behind the Kennedy assassination schizo? So was Charles Manson. It is quite possible, if I am correct, that these people were manipulated telepathically to kill the people that they did by the nonhuman intelligence.
Look up how the thalamus in schizo(phrenics/affectives) might be different from nons. I think the problem might be we are given more conscious data to work with and it can be overwhelming, hence why brain numbing chemicals treat us. Here’s an idea: learn to organize the material being brought to attention, otherwise it could become disordered/chaos. I think sociology can be very helpful in this regard, as well as perhaps some Carl Jung…
Yeah science has a lot of theories that have yet to be proven. Dark matter is one of them, although to me the quandary just shows that maybe there is more to the nature of spacetime then we know, or believe to know. But that is a separate issue.
So far it’s an impossibility to keep track of what goes on in someone’s mind. You have to rely on personal account. We’ve got a long way to go. And if they aren’t using electro magnetic radiation to communicate but some other unknown form of information transmission were even farther off.
If I were you and had that ■■■■ going on I would also be exploring it as well.
Imagine the challenges to the legal system if it were revealed people were actually manipulated telepathically to commit crimes. This would mean they did not have full personhood according to the philosophy of John Locke and cannot be held accountable necessarily. John Locke had more effect on the American constitution than any other philosopher mind you.
Furthermore, is there anything the government could do if it were revealed one of our greatest presidents may have been a manchurian candidate by something other than human? What would be its response? Does it have any way to fight back? If not, it could create potential hysteria if it went mainstream, which would threaten national security, thereby giving the federal government the right to suppress knowledge of it. The best means of this: label those who experience it first hand as delusional. It is called psychiatric reprisal.
Delusions/hallucinations can be useful: say you feel a cold, wet, metallic sphere in your chest; from this you could extrapolate thusly: what if I could make a self-lubricating metal? As it turns out, this is possible. You pulverize iron and mix it with oil, then melt it and form it. I forget what it is called, but a science major once told me about it.
Correction: Furthermore, is there anything the government could do if it were revealed one of our greatest presidents may have been killed by a manchurian candidate that was controlled by something other than human?
I don’t know about for the rest of you, but I have no delusions. I do have theories. I don’t go from one minute believing I am the son of God, to the next minute believing I am in contact with a reptilian. I am fairly consistent, although my views of the world evolve just like everyone else. I can see why you people think you’re crazy: you’re easily fooled by their tricks, no offense.
As soon as the paranormal is proven its becomes science. If it’s unproven then yeah it’s a delusion to believe it exists. If I have faith it’s in the universe as described by science, I see it as pretty all encompassing. Perhaps one day it will be proven that my beliefs are delusional.
