I talk about cognitive dissonance actually in my book about the paranormal, so yeah that is part of why people reject it, because it goes against their preconceived notions about reality. I speak from experience, since I was atheist most of my life.

Although I would argue the fundamental mechanism of causation behind a psychic intuition and a psychotic delusion are similar.

I am much beyond the TI mind set. They think it is merely humans of the 20th century with an apparatus, and I think it is much beyond this world and of ancient origin.
