I was wondering what side effects people on here who are on ozempic have experienced? I’m having a lot of trouble staying asleep.

I find that it caused me some troubles with my stomach in the beginning. I did vommit a lot, but only for a few weeks. But I have lost 11 kgs/22 lbs so I’m happy.

My husband is on it and doesn’t seem to have any side effects. He is on the highest dose.

Felt like there was acid on my tongue when i was taking ozempic

Occasional mild nausea, constipation

Can you take it if you don’t have diabetes? I’d be open to trying it temporarily for some weight loss but idk. Just read it’s for people with type 2 diabetes, but regular people take it as well. Maybe something for the future if it’s safe.

Do you have diabetes?

There’s a high dose version of Ozempic called Wegovy.
It’s approved for weight loss exclusively and you don’t have to have diabetes to take it

No I was in a research project, for People who was on either olanzapine or clozapine

I’m not diabetic, but I was very overweight when I started taking the ozempic

I don’t qualify for either drug. Oh well. I guess I’ll keep trying my diet.

Who did you speak with? Talk to your Pdoc or GP. Sometimes they can play with the numbers, like if you’ve ever been recorded as being pre diabetic they can sometimes get it covered.

It’s fine I’ve been down 30lbs before. I’m around 230 now started my diet a few days ago. I’ll mention it my next pdoc visit though.
