According to my dad who takes it for type 2 diabetes, it is not a drug that is good for losing weight; not because it doesn’t lose weight, but because of how it does it. He said starting out on Ozempic causes extreme stomach discomfort and that’s why people lose weight on it. They simply lose the will to eat.

my mom takes it for type 2 also but only a few weeks into it. luckily she hasnt been having stomach discomfort but still hasnt given up sugary stuff

I can’t get it prescribed even though my BMI is very high. All they did was double my metformin and it is doing nothing. “Yadda yadda yadda eat healthier and exercise” when I have already made my lifestyle healthier. My blood sugar level is prediabetic even with the metformin….

Did you just get it without blood tests and for weight gain? I thought wegovy was the only one that got prescribed for weight loss.

My doc won’t prescribe it to me, and I have to get it privately which I refused to do.

Yea… I asked my doc about it for weight loss but I think because I have diabetes (but a1c is fine now) the doc could prescribe it and it also helps with my weight

Yea… I’m definitely gonna give it a try. Would love to loose some weight and build a little muscle :muscle:t5:

Outside of eating junk food sometimes I really don’t over eat or eat super unhealthy but I do binge sometimes

What do you mean by privately? I know they sell the stuff online, which I refuse to do.

It means I can’t get it on the NHS. Id have to see a private doctor who charges money to be seen and then for prescriptions as well. In England we have the NHS so we usually don’t charged for seeing a doctor … And for prescriptions if we’re not working.

I am having some success with Saxenda, but it is slow going. It only works if you also eat better and exercise. The shot alone does not guarantee weight loss.

Yep…that’s what I was thinking. I read that it helps you feel more full so you don’t eat Soo much so maybe that would do something. I’m also gonna start exercising more and try to eventually quit vaping.

Also…I think your right about sz…at least in my situation. It’s not going away…I have to learn to live with it or suffer…

Dealing with abusive people might be easier if I’m not so caught in my delusions too !!!

You’ll eat less, but if what you eat is still KD, pizza, and Hostess Ding Dongs, you’re still going to be a plumper. Ozempic and related meds are an aid, but they require a healthier diet and exercise as well.
