I qualify for the weight loss injection

However its not unavailable until the end of the year. I dont mind that at all since i need to have baby first and possibly recover from c section.

I will be under a weight management program that will prescribe it.

I think this is the only time my heart condition has had any benefit to my wellbeing. Lol

It’s either going to likely be either Ozempic or Mounjaro.

I’m on Ozempic and have previously been on Mounjaro.

They both are great drugs!

@Wave @Qwerty

Im on diabetes drug metformin and don’t have much of an appetite
So im very overweight but i dont eat much , my weight barely moves
Is it worth going on a weight loss injection if it just reduces appetite? Because i barely eat anyway

It may also be Saxenda, what I am on. It is working very well so far. I get full easily and have no urge to snack. It’s weird for me because I am used to always feeling like I am starving.

I had the same problem on Metformin @anon29983254. I’m not even through the first week with Saxenda and I have dropped 7.5 lbs.

Hey well done for dropping some weight!!!

I dunno im just a bit of a scaredy cat about the side effects. Would be worried about gaining it back with interest once meds stop?
You know me always thinking of the neg

I started on Saxenda but went to Mounjaro when I was diagnosed with diabetes. I’ve gone from 298 lbs to 190 lbs in 2 years. The meds really help keep my hunger and cravings in check, BUT I also log my intake and measure/weigh my foods to keep around 1200 calories per day. I’ve also just started walking every day but I can only do about 35 minutes before my arthritis in my knees and hips kicks in. Still, the meds have definitely benefited me. I’ve only been on the Mounjaro for 2 months.

I am glad that Saxenda is working for you @shutterbug

@Qwerty mentioned that the injection she’s going on is also used for diabetes.

Is Saxenda a diabetes drug @shutterbug?

I might ask my gp about it next week it all seems like a great idea to lose weight

I just read some more about it, i don’t think they give you sexenda if your diabetic, here in the uk. Just give you wegovy injection

I haven’t noticed any at all and the injections are barely noticeable. I don’t hesitate at all now when giving myself a shot.
