Over heard my neighbours

i heard my neighbours talking from below my window, the window was open because it was a hot day and they were talking about me, i heard the woman say i was getting ‘a free ride’ and ‘i was pretending to be daft’ neighbours can be cruel and i am worried that they will get me into trouble again,

Don’t talk to self or they treat you worse. I know is really tempting to talk over it if you are hearing voices a lot or threatening stuff but these will treat you worse…My area is calling people ‘thieves’ for ending up on disability pay after mental care…sometimes was a rape victims and churches were really hitting this issue hard with their hate-monger flocks. Around here some who just worked around the sex abuse ended up with PTSD if they lived alone, mental care didn’t handle these that great and many with health insurance ended up fired & eventually on disability pay…We just worked with wrong one and the insomnia is so hard to treat with the meds, just not okay to take life/death work that used to pay our bills self supporting. Had really bad discrimination system start up in some spots here too and lots of employment scams screwing the low paid employees and no unemployment pay sometimes so can be blessed with disability pay when work when crappy, pay too low and staffing too bad to even bother taking the work around here again. Will get sued for $9 hour, NO WAY!

Used to be able to tell the hate-monger church stalkers what happened to you to get some silence but some of the churches around here decided to hide the sex abuse issue stories and the victims get vandalized bad for telling people to leave them alone even…Had car hit 3 times in a month and bystands laughing at me about ‘if I liked the service at this business?’ and car had been hit…Cops won’t cooperate in city to do anything and store with video regularly refuses to let customers view the parking lot tape I hear so…Just keep quiet about the hateful comments is my suggestion. I only explain at work if a coworker starts to tell me private stuff about myself or talk like a parrot of my train of thought…If the coworker persists, the situation can be downright dangerous to continue in the job sometimes and is best to not even return after lunch break or if big office, return to HR office and ask what other work is open. Found out some businesses just have a job no one will keep and most do not return from lunch during their first week on the job as something is just too wrong, especially if you have any responsibilities that will get you sued for life/death situation that is too screwed up. This is really problematic if you are leaving unemployment pay…Would talk to attorney about how to handle ‘hostile workplace’ or follow the guidelines exactly for handling a sex harassment to get your unemployment pay to continue…but may need to give it to attorney but won’t see a penny for 18 months usually.

Is she giving you a free ride somewhere?

no the term ‘free ride’ means living off benefits but it is a derogatory term as if to imply that i shouldn’t get benefits and i should be working :frowning:

HOW do they know about that?!

If something is not right ’ in your opinion, which isn’t… How another’s opinion would matter… Just let it slide off.
People do not know something, until it happens to them.

they know i am not working and i live in a council house so they do the math and assume i am a leach feeding off of the system.

Ah sorry about that… Just let it be… Who cares. I got fired twice. I can not get over it yet.

i am trying to let it slide but its hard, what ever happened to ‘love thy neighbour?’ i mean i have never done any harm to anyone and i get all this ■■■■ you know, i’m sick of it :frowning:

really :unamused:
Who cares?! let them talk. Neighbours are supposed to be like this, there is no such thing as 'love your neighbour ’ until you are in heaven

I used to get called names by a drug addict neighbor but he got evicted. You’re not a leech.

U have a disability they can’t see that’s why they’re are saying that, they are ignorant just ignore them.

I not sure but I thought I read a post a while back that said you were stopping your meds or adjustment or something. Forgive me if I’m wrong. But these are the kind of suttle crap that gets stuck in my head ,when my meds are low. I mean it bothers me a bit other wise. But when my meds are off it I obsess about it. Lots of times I think I hallucinate this suttle persicution. Not saying this didn’t happen but just sharing my experiences with you. And I totally know people act that way. My neighbor found out about my illness and I was off work for a month. So he had this conversation with me about how he’s not ever going to use SSI that it’s just there for the leaches . He’s the man and making it on his own and I should do the same. Well I went back to work as soon as my meds got adjustment and my delusions started to fade. A few months later he got sick with kidney problems and sure enough is now on SSI . And one could say has not put up much of a fight to stay employed . As I know he passed up an at home phone job .So point being I’m sure your neighbor is probably just like mine. Don’t feel bad if you are incapable of working. That’s what SSI is for.

I would ignore them, plain and simple.
Lots of people don’t understand.
There are plenty of gossipy type neighbors out there.
It’s best to ignore this kind of behavior.

Are you sure they were really talking? Maybe it was some voices you heard. I got real paranoid hearing my neighbors “talk” about me. Really it was my brain

Sorry you had to endure that. Those sort of people are lowest of the low. I have had similar stuff and it hurts a lot. I blame the rhetoric being banded around in politics over here (although your neighbours are responsible for their heartless words too).

All I can say is ignore it. It can be a particularly nasty British thing to pick on those least fit to handle it whilst simultaneously thinking they are entitled to spout this bs because they ‘pay taxes’.

In terms of them doing anything to hurt your benefits wise there is ■■■■ all they can do. You are doing nothing wrong.

I hear stuff like that too from people. mostly my in laws and my own family sometimes

my in laws believe I make up the voices and stuff to get out of being treated like an adult. i should be treated like an adult even if i do hear voices. they think it should be easy to ignore the voices. i should automatically know they aren’t real.

Maybe get one of those poetry readings that William shatter did, turn it up real loud and them to just ignore it cause they know it’s coming from a speaker
