It was a fairly close game, and I thought OU was going to blow it, but they held on to win by one touchdown. Baylor got beat by Kansas State today, so it is probably impossible that they can win the conference championship. Oklahoma State University has one loss on its record, and if they win their next two games it will probably be a conference championship game between two Oklahoma teams.

My friend had tickets to the LSU game tonight too but it’s at 8 pm. That’s too damn late for me. The last time I went to an 8 pm game we didn’t get home until 2 am. I usually go to bed at 930.
They are playing ULM. So not very competitive. They are both 4 and 6 though. This will be the only game I miss this year. Not going to go.
Next week they play Texas A and M at home. My son will be here for that one. It’s the last game. We will go to that one if he gets tickets.

Texas A&M might be a spoiler. They beat Alabama. It seems like every team that plays OU is so determined to beat them. They might lose all the rest of their games that season, but if they beat OU their season was a success. I think it is because OU is such a prominent team. It makes them a target. Everyone is gunning for them.
We will go to that game even if my friend doesn’t get tickets and just tailgate and then buy some outside the stadium. My friends boss had really good seats though.
They are afraid of Covid so they never use them.

My best friend has hook ups with three companies that tailgate. They have big RVs they park out there and give out free booze, cokes water. They fry fish and shrimp and have fries and sandwiches and vegetable trays and jambalaya and gumbo.
It’s good eating.
It seems that a lot of retired people are buying RV’s. My sister and brother in law have one. Sometimes I wish I could get a single person camper and drive all over the U.S. in it. Maybe do some fishing. I know that will never happen for me, though. I don’t have the money to operate, much less buy such a vehicle.
RVs are really expensive. I wanted to buy a travel trailer recently but my wife said no. With my old job I had a lot of leave and sick time but I got a new job and don’t have that anymore. My new job doesn’t have sick time. I just get 80 hours of paid time off per year.
Glad I didn’t buy one. I was going to use it primarily to work out of town though but I didn’t get that job.
My trucks will only tow 5000 pounds though so I couldn’t have gotten a big one.
You’re right. My wishes are just dreams. I don’t know what a single person camper would cost, but I know it wouldn’t be cheap.

I’ve heard that RVs are being very cheaply assembled recently because there is such demand that they can get away with it. Might want to see if you can buy used.

You can buy a new one for $15000 to $20,000. A nice one. If you have good credit you can get good terms and it’s only like $100 a month.
You can find a used one cheaper than that but the credit might cost you more and be a shorter term which translates into higher payments.
Cash is always king.

I doubt if it would ever happen for me. I have no credit history, so my payments would be high. Also, I’m very inept mechanically, so if something went wrong I would have a lot of trouble fixing it. My longing to have an RV is just a pipe dream.
