There is no quicker way to get beat than to look past an opponent, and on any given day a lesser team can beat a greater team. OU plays Texas next week. It will be a big game for a lot of reasons, but OU shouldn’t look past Kansas. OU can worry about Texas next week.
I think they’ll win big. hurts wants the Heisman and wants to improve his draft stock.
not many good games today, Michigan plays iowa, and auburn plays florida. I see university of Cincinnati pulled the upset over UCF last night.
You’re probably right, but Clemson nearly got beat by a nowhere team last week. They only won by one point. And you know the OU players are looking at Texas.
Auburn v. Florida ought to be good. I’m hoping the second half of the OU game will be a different game.
have a little faith, i’ll think they will pull away. but you never know, maybe they are looking ahead to texas.
I hope Lincoln Riley lights a fire under them during halftime.
I’m not tuning in I’ll jinx them. Go Hawkeyes.
is this their first conference game?
a couple years ago, the university of Cincinnati was trying to get in the big 12 after the big east gave up football and they moved to the American athletic conference. It really hurt their recruiting. I thought it was weird that they accepted west virginia, because it’s so far away. when I think of the big 12 I think texas and Oklahoma in football, and Kansas in basketball. it’s a solid conference, probably stronger than the big 10.
I sometimes think that too. I also sometimes think that I help them by watching them. It makes no sense, but I believe it.
No. Texas Tech is in the Big 12 too.
they just scored. a healthy 2 touchdown lead going into half.
I got 'em on honey, on the radio, t.v. is no good, don’t have cable.
Phil wanted me to.
Yes! I was watching. OU just looked tentative and rusty at first. Hurts wasn’t passing with his normal extraordinary accuracy. OU tried to run the same trick play twice, without much time between the two downs. The first time it worked, but the second time they got sacked for a loss. It was stupid for them to do that.
when I went to games as a freshman, we brought in body bodas, my friends liked everclear and vodka. The skinny girls would be passed up in the crowd. I think I only wanted to watch the band.
The cheerleaders have a strong appeal for me. They’re the icing on the cake.
Go Sooners !! I am listening to the game on the radio too…no cable…
darn Hawkeyes, 10-3. just can’t beat their defense. sacked over 8 times.
The Sooners looked better in the second half. They first came out looking tentative and rusty, but in the second half they came back on fire. The score was 42-7 when they moved the television coverage to ESPN. That sucks, because I can’t get that channel.
45-20 final. must have given up some late garbage time points. I didn’t see the end of it, I went and had a visit with mom.
You know in another universe I was a Kansas student and I took Meteorology and at first I enjoyed seeing the buildings and the landscape of the campus that I saw on TV. But then I realized that I never really made friends there, and went insane to boot and realized that the only good memories was the cornbread and other food at the cafeteria, the weather, and Clinton Lake. I also liked when I was there how easy it was to go to a football game (going to basketball games required being a VIP.) After Oklahoma took the lead though my interest began to wane and I returned to being in the here and now.
