I am now taking Vitamin D (as advised by gp) and Berberine but I have also consulted the gp on this. I definately feel more energy and less pain when walking up hills. In fact no pain. I wonder if it is vit d.

Vitamin D is pretty powerful. Most schizophrenics are deficient in it (I think) either due to lack of going outside (in my case) or altered metabolism. It’s good to take vitamin d.

I am supposed to take 5000 a day. My tests showed a severe deficiency. Its common here in the US Northeast, especially in winter.

I’ve been prescribed high dose vitamin d before. But now that I eat healthier, I’m not deficient. But I’m in Michigan where almost everyone is deficient dire to lack of sunlight, especially in the fall and winter

Didn’t they give you a booster dose for a couple of weeks before starting you on 2000mg?
